Labor Day note (Monday 2026-09-07)
Monday is Labor Day. Most offices are closed. The walk-in verticals split into open and closed. Field the ones that are open and busy. Move the rest to later in the week.
Field Monday (holiday-open verticals only)
- Gyms and studios: open on the holiday, often on a special class schedule. Good foot traffic.
- Restaurants and cafes: open and busy. A holiday can be one of their bigger days.
- Pet: groomers and dog daycare are commonly open. Call ahead if you are not sure.
- Some salons and barbers: hit or miss. Call ahead, or check their Google hours before you drive over.
Skip Monday, move to Tuesday through Thursday
- Daycares: most are closed for the holiday. Move to Tuesday through Thursday.
- Auto repair: most shops are closed. Move to Tuesday through Thursday.
DMs go live Monday, so pick Monday targets from Friday's email list
DMs start going out Monday. The cold email went out Friday 09-04. So your Monday walk-in targets should be businesses that were already emailed Friday. Do not walk into a cold door on the holiday. Work the ones that have already heard from us, and use the Path B door line.
Tone for a holiday walk-in
- Keep it short and respectful. It's a holiday shift and they're busy, so don't pitch on
the floor. Lead with the opener, be quick, and read the room. - Aim to book the fifteen minutes for later in the week, not to run the full owner version
today. If the owner isn't free, leave the card and get a time.
